Trust & Safety Center

Built for safer, more respectful introductions.

Novia combines verification, structured live video, clear conduct rules, and fast reporting paths so members can focus on real chemistry without ignoring personal safety.

Safeguards

Protection built into every introduction.

Adult Eligibility Checks

Age, phone, location integrity, profile media, and account checks help reduce underage access and impersonation before Direct Match.

Live Video Boundaries

Short, structured introductions reduce pressure while giving both people enough presence to sense comfort, tone, and respect.

Immediate Exit Controls

Members can leave, report, or block from the active experience without waiting for a conversation to finish.

Human Review Pathways

Sensitive reports are routed for review with account history, session context, and enforcement notes kept separate from public profiles.

Safety Framework

What members can expect.

Layer 01

Verification Protocol

Novia combines account, age, phone, location integrity, profile media, and risk checks to deter impersonation, duplicate accounts, underage access, and misleading profile behavior.

  • Age and phone checks
  • Location and VPN or proxy review
  • Profile media and account-risk review
Layer 02

Report And Block

If a member feels uncomfortable, they can leave the interaction and submit a report. Blocking prevents repeat contact while the safety team reviews the submitted concern.

  • One-tap report entry points
  • Block controls after live introductions
  • Review paths for harassment, impersonation, and solicitation
Layer 03

Community Guidelines

Members are expected to be present, respectful, and honest. Harassment, nudity, hate speech, coercion, scams, threats, or attempts to move people into unsafe channels can lead to removal.

  • Respect boundaries
  • No explicit or abusive conduct
  • No fraud, solicitation, or impersonation
Layer 04

Child Safety Standards

Novia is strictly for adults aged 18 or older. We prohibit child sexual abuse and exploitation, grooming, sexualization of minors, trafficking, solicitation involving minors, and child sexual abuse material (CSAM).

  • Report suspected child-safety violations in the app or to safety@novianow.com
  • Accounts and content linked to child exploitation are removed or disabled
  • Evidence is preserved and reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law
Layer 05

Dating Safety Tips

Keep early conversations inside verified Novia channels, protect personal and financial information, and trust your instincts if a conversation feels pressured or inconsistent.

  • Do not share financial details
  • Meet in public if you choose to meet offline
  • Tell someone you trust about offline plans

Scam Prevention

Urgency is not intimacy.

Romance scams often build trust before introducing an emergency, investment, fee, travel problem, or request to move money.

Pause when someone’s story creates pressure to act quickly or secretly. Requests for money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, account access, identity documents, or paid “verification” are strong warning signs—even after weeks of conversation.

Respond without increasing your risk

Do not pay, click unfamiliar payment links, or try to recover money through another stranger. Save relevant non-sensitive evidence, block the account, report it to Novia, and contact your bank or payment provider promptly if you already transferred funds.

  • Reverse-image-search suspicious profile photos where appropriate.
  • Be cautious when a person repeatedly avoids live interaction.
  • Never share one-time passwords, PINs, recovery codes, or remote device access.

Emergency Help

If danger is immediate, contact emergency services now.

Novia’s safety team can review platform activity, but it cannot dispatch police, medical care, or emergency responders.

Move to a safer place if you can do so without increasing risk. Contact local emergency services or a trusted person who can act nearby. Use Novia reporting after the immediate situation is under control.

Preserve what is safe to preserve

Keep relevant messages, account details, dates, and transaction records only when doing so is safe. Do not confront the person, continue a dangerous meeting, or delay emergency help to collect evidence.

  • Use your device’s emergency features if speaking is unsafe.
  • Seek medical attention after physical or sexual harm.
  • Contact safety@novianow.com for the related Novia account review.

Need urgent help?

Leave the interaction first. Report when you are ready.

If a live introduction feels unsafe, use the in-product exit control immediately. For safety concerns outside the app, contact local emergency services first, then notify Novia support with the relevant account and session details.
